Solution

Error "0" indicates that the device has not been reconised by Microsoft Active Sync or that Active-Sync has not installed on your PC.  Please ensure Microsoft Active Sync Version 3.8 or above is installed and running on this PC. To download Microsoft Active Sync, please please click here If Microsoft Active-Sync is installed and running but shows as "not connected", please follow the steps below.

  1. Disconnect the usb cable from the device.
  2. Turn the device OFF on the main switch (at the bottom of the unit)
  3. Tturn the device back on at the main switch.
  4. Ensure the USB cable is connected directly to the rear of the computer.
  5. Wait until after the Road Angel displays the words "loading" and then connect both of the remaining connections of the USB cable to the device.
  6. Microsoft Active-Sync will then ask to create a partnership. Please select "no" and then click "next".
  7. You may now select "synchronise" on your Road Angel Navigator software.
